Split a PDF and extract page ranges in the browser
Need pages 1–3 as a handout and page 8 as an attachment? Upload splitters send the whole file to a server. LocalPdfMerge extracts ranges in your tab.
Steps
- Open the tool and choose Split / extract.
- Drop one PDF. The page count appears when the file loads.
- Enter ranges such as
1-3, 5, 8-10orall. Each comma-separated range becomes its own download. - Click Extract on this device, then save each result.
Range tips
- Pages are 1-based (page 1 is the first page).
- Ranges are inclusive:
2-4means pages 2, 3, and 4. - Out-of-range numbers are rejected with an error instead of silent clipping.
Limits
Very large single PDFs may strain mobile browsers. Prefer desktop for multi-hundred-page files. Encryption or corruption can block reading — we do not crack passwords.
