How to remove pages from a PDF

  1. Drop one PDF into the box above. A numbered page picker appears for files up to 500 pages.
  2. Tick the pages, or type ranges such as 2, 4-6. The picker and the text box stay in sync.
  3. Choose Remove selected pages to delete them, or Keep only selected pages to extract them into one file.
  4. Press Create PDF on this device and download the result. The original file on your disk is not changed.

How it works

pdf-lib copies the pages you keep, in their original order, into a new PDF in this tab. The pages you removed are not copied into the new file. There is no upload and no server copy; check with the trust page.

FAQ

How do I delete one page from a PDF without uploading it?

Drop the PDF, tick that page or type its number, keep Remove selected pages chosen, and create the PDF. Everything runs in this tab.

Can I keep only a few pages instead?

Yes. Choose Keep only selected pages. The output contains just those pages, in document order, in one PDF.

Is removing a page the same as redacting it?

For the removed page, its content is not copied into the new file. It does not redact anything on the pages you keep, and it is not certified redaction.

Does it change my original file?

No. The browser cannot write to the original. You get a new download, named like report-pages-removed.pdf.

Why is there no page picker for my file?

The picker is shown for files up to 500 pages. Longer files still work by typing ranges.

Can I remove every page?

No. A PDF needs at least one page, so the tool shows an error if your selection would leave none.
